The definition of high performance NdFeB permanent magnet materials: according to the "China high tech product catalog (2006)" the six categories of new materials in the 895 provisions, with quick setting rejection band method, Hcj (kOe) + (BH) max (mgoe) > 60 for manufacture, small, miniature, special purpose of permanent magnetic motors, sensors, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), advanced audio-visual equipment of sintered neodymium iron boron permanent magnetic material, belonging to the China focus on encouraging and supporting the development of new materials and high technology products. The sintered neodymium iron boron permanent magnetic material, which is specified in the catalogue (2006) of China's high technology products, is called as high performance neodymium iron boron permanent magnetic material.

High performance neodymium iron boron permanent magnetic material is a functional material, which provides the key functional raw materials for the downstream industry. From the point of view of application, high performance neodymium iron boron permanent magnet material is used in the motor to play a role, and the use of permanent magnetic material of the motor is usually referred to as the permanent magnet motor. Permanent magnet motor is divided into ferrite and rare earth permanent magnet motor.

Electric machine is an electromagnetic device which can convert mechanical energy and electric energy into magnetic field. In order to establish the necessary air gap magnetic field for the electromechanical energy conversion, there are two methods:

In the motor winding through current is generated, which requires special winding and a corresponding device, there is a need to continue to attack energy to maintain the current flow, commonly known for electro magnetic motor, such as ordinary DC motor and synchronous motor;

A permanent magnet to generate a magnetic field, which can simplify the structure of the motor, and can save energy, which is the permanent magnet motor.


Permanent magnet motor application for GF, throughout the aviation, spaceflight, national defense, equipment manufacturing, industrial and agricultural production and daily life fields: its capacity from big to small, the current has reached MW, scope of application is becoming more and more popular; its position is more and more important, from the military to civilian use, from special to half expanded rapidly, not only in the micro motor dominant, and in the electric propulsion system also shows a strong vitality.


Compared with the traditional electric excitation motor, rare earth permanent magnet motor has the advantages of simple structure, reliable operation, small size, light weight, low loss, high efficiency, flexible shape and size of the motor. Compared with the traditional application of neodymium iron boron permanent magnetic materials in the production of rare earth permanent magnet motor, the application of high performance NdFeB permanent magnetic materials of new rare earth permanent magnet motor smaller, less loss of efficiency was significantly higher than that of traditional rare earth permanent magnet motor.

roducts, the average power saving rate of 10% or more, the application of high performance neodymium iron boron permanent magnetic material of rare earth permanent magnet motor power saving rate can be as high as 15% ~ 20%. In the wind motor, compressor and other needs of the frequency conversion speed of the occasion, permanent magnet frequency control power saving rate of more than 30%. The advanced level of the international motor energy saving is that the operating efficiency of the fan is more than 80%, and the operating efficiency of the system is about 85%. But at present, the efficiency of the design of the domestic equipment is 70%, the system running efficiency is less than 30%, and the power waste is very serious.
